Game of Thrones

Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Friction between the houses leads to full-scale war. All while a very ancient evil awakens in the farthest north. Amidst the war, a neglected military order of misfits, the Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and icy horrors beyond.

A lot of shows get called "the best ever," but Game of Thrones genuinely earns that conversation. For most of its run, it's damn near perfect gripping, unpredictable, and impossible to get bored of. Yeah, the final episodes (especially Season 8) didn't land well, and the ending was disappointing. But the first 7+ seasons are so strong that it still feels like a 10 overall. It's one of those rare shows you can watch from start to finish without losing interest. Easily one of my all-time favorites.
